Ok so is it legal to attack your own teammate? (former) in a 2v2? Like if I declare to be on my own team, could I attack the former teammate?

Within the context of the BRB, a 2v2 game is just a 1v1 game where you agree that you and your buddy will control different sections of the army. So you would still be playing within the context of the detachment system, which disallows you from targeting your side's models (since you and your buddy's armies are technically the same army, and have the same "controlling player" in game terms). You can't just declare that you're on your own team.
...but if you wanted to houserule it, go ahead. Team games are a bit more loosey-goosey when it comes to rules.

Well it was mainly just for fun an games. We do play 2v2 games often. Playing Orks, DE and Chaos..... It feels "in character" lol

The only true rule is that you have fun. If you all agree on it there's nothing wrong with it.

The Overlords 40k podcast had a huge Apoc battle a few months back (the Battle for Haven) where one of the Imperial players wanted to defect, so arranged something with the game organiser.
IIRC what they did was the player could defect during the original enemy's turn, but only units that did not act during their previous turn could actually do anything straight away, to prevent units from acting in two consecutive player turns.
I reckon it'd be an awesome addition to a narrative game - as long as all participants are clear about the type of game you're playing. Maybe drop some hints about how impatient your warlord is getting with your ally's commander, or how their best unit would make some fun slaves for your archon.
When it comes time to actually defect, maybe suggest a shift in mission objectives for your erstwhile ally - it could turn into a "hold out for X turns" type mission, holding onto what few objectives they have. Or turn it into a fighting retreat, that sort of thing.

The thing is, in terms of level of alliance, two opposite factions like Orks and Chaos Marines treat each other's models "as enemy Units" "for all rules purposes".
So shooting / charging them is quite within RaW (Unless someone want to prove otherwise?). Players don't usually do so by choice, but i'm quite sure the RaW would allow it.

Well first, the rules don't cover multi-player games.
@BlackTalos: Very first sentence of Allies of Convenience. They are enemy units that cannot be charged, shot, attacked in close combat, or targeted with psychic powers.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
Orks always ride in single file to hide their strength and numbers.

Ah, my bad. And all the "lower" levels say "same as Allies of Convenience but..." so it would still not be possible.

We've let it happen in all of our games so far, dude. Why else do you think that no one wants to be on your team??

Personally I'd be annoyed if my team mate turned a 2v2 game into a 2v1v1 game, or much worse a 3v1 game.
It'd be the equivalent of turning up to a 2000 point game and being told I could only use half my force whilst the opponent used all of theirs.

Infact, do it
But your friends have the right to come over every time you play 1v1 and commandeer half your army to shoot the other half, because "background, its a civil war"
