Hey all, Currently I'm involved in a Narrative campaign between me and a few chums, We're going to be playing the first match two days from now, I just want some feedback as to the list i've made and how it would work against Orks. It'll be my first time using my Daemons.

Okay so My first opponent will be an Ork player, as per the spirit of the narrative I won't be taking any Bloodthirsters, I also won't know exactly what units the ork player will be bringing but i know he's a fan of deffkoptas and often brings like 12 of them in a match, the main worry i have is that if he does bring a large amount of deffkoptas my bloodcrushers would likely just end up dying due to rokkits being double their toughness leaving my herald alone before he can get into combat, aside from what models i've already mentioned i currently have 2 burning chariots at hand, 40 pink horrors, 6 screamers and 6 flamers of tzeentch. What do you guys think? Should i be okay with what i have or do i need to make any massive changes? I'd rather keep it mono khorne but We are planning on bringing Tzeentch into the narrative as well so they won't be out of place.

I think it looks like a solid list for a narative campagn, even if it dos feel odd to see a khorne list with out any daemonprinces/bloodthirsters.

I feel your worry about rockets is a valid one, but I wouldnt worry too much. If your worrying about rockets that by the same token you should be worrying about power klawz as they would do the same thing, but in hand to hand.

I think that the blood crushers and bloodletters will disappoint. Just so fragile. Saw a batrep on MiniWargaming of Dave fielding a lot of both of those units against some white scars, and man did he get obliterated. All the blood crushers were instant killed, and the bloodletters mowed down by bolter fire.

I feel khorne soul grinders are better suited by the torrent weapon rather than a long range bombardment one.
Pink horrors wouldn't be too bad at killing boyz with their random amount of heavy bolter equiv shots. Problem is, its random, and if you fail you're getting charged and killed.
Flamers would be a more reliable way of killing lots of orks
screamers are pretty great at killing vehicles. Without them you'd be depending on your soul grinder.

For those of you that might be interested, It went surprisingly well for me, I ended up tabling him with the only casualties being one squad of bloodletters and a skull cannon, he only brought six deffkoptas with him and for some reason kept them in reserves, I dont think this was my army playing well, but rather that it was a case of my opponent being unfamiliar with daemons and making some questionable decisions, like infiltrating 3 of his units and then moving them up to my own units during his turn so that in my first turn I could charge them. But It was certainly interesting to see just how killy a herald of khorne can be.
