OK, so I am think of taking the following list to a local tourney, any constructive criticism welcome

SM CAD (Iron Hands):

Libby, 65 pts
Scouts, sniper rifles 60
Scouts 55pts
Assault Squad, DP 85
Imperial Bunker, Comms relay 75pts

LotD Detachment:

LotD squad x5, MM, MG, Combi Melta 155pts
LotD squad x5, MM, MG, Combi Melta 155pts
LotD squad x5, PC, PG, Combi Plasma 165pts
LotD squad x5, HB, Power Maul, Animus Malorum 185pts

Plan will be for the LotD to be the Primary detachment, with Warlord coming from the last squad (guy with the Animus Malorum) to fish for the juicy LotD warlord traits. Sniper scouts will sit in bunker for T1 and help get all the LotD in T2, while the Libby rides with Assault squad in DP and is basically a distraction to draw attention away from the bunker. LotD come in T2 and do what they do best - Melta teams pop tanks, Plasma team goes after MEQ/TEQ, while bolter team is for assaulting squishy troops.

Any suggested improvements?

I don't think the libby is going to be much of a distraction; as a ML1 with no special kit, he's not really much of a threat. Find the points to change him to a chaplain and then he's a bit more of a worry in the role you're suggesting.

Plus, as it stands, ~two thirds of your army are rolling for reserves to come in, unless you happen to get the one warlord trait that lets you come in when you want. Seems way to risky, particularly as your model count is quite low across the board

I think I would take a force weapon wielding Libby rolling on biomancy over a basic chaplain in CC any day of the week. Besides, the distraction doesn't have to be particularly effective - if the Libby and his unit make it into CC on T2 they would have exceeded my expectations. People just cant seem to ignore a drop pod in the back line, no matter what's actually in it.

That is why the comms relay is there - statistically rerolling on the reserves should see all 4 unit come in more often than not. The warlord trait allowing you too choose when they arrive would be a bonus, but I would be fishing for the 'Aura of Fear / Ethereal Bolts / Spectral Bulwark' traits ideally.
