My general idea with this list is to have my squishy Ethereal
HQ sat behind my two squads of Fire Warriors near an objective to offer up his plentiful buffs. It won't be the most mobile of armies so in case of objective based games, I've included a flanking squad of Kroot to come on turn 2 onwards.
The Riptide is really a decoy - I played a few games at my local club recently and having him in the list really diverted a lot of fire away from the rest of my (more important) units. The ion accelerator is a must in my opinion as it gives me a few options as to how I can use him.. The fusion blasters, I'm not sure? I planned to have him as an option to jump/suicide any armour that the rest of my army isn't managing. Should I swap that for a smart missile system?
Pathfinders to do what pathfinders do best (sit in a tree and give everyone an awesome light show).
XV88 Broadside Team x3... lots and lots of missiles? Plan to keep these near the back and have them continually add pressure to the highest threat. (Now with 2x Target Lock for even more flexibility)
Okay, this is where I'm unsure - I LOVE markerlights.. I LOVE Seeker missiles.. So two Sky Rays?! My thinking here is that hopefully they'll offer up enough missiles to decimate most armour whilst also adding more markerlights to the pool. A solo tank is one hell of a target but two, that changes things. That'll be 3 units giving markerlight support.
Another thought I've had is whether I should find the points and go for an Aegis?
