I was wondering whether Ulrik the Slayer's 6" preferred enemy bubble also affects transports he is in. The rules state: Ulrik the Slayer, and all friendly units with the Space Wolves Faction within 6" of him, get the Preferred Enemy special rule. Would this affect for example a Land Raider Crusader he travels in?

Not really - PE does nothing for template weapons (aside from rerolling 1s to wound).

All LR weapons are twinlinked anyway. But rerolling to wound with the AssCan and Flamestorms is good and rerolling 1s to hit with that multimelta is very useful.

Exactly, since you're usually wounding on 2s and 3s PE can take care of all those stupid ones that spoil all the fun of roasting the enemy

I like Ulrik in a stormwolf for just that reason. Fly him in and try to get him near a thunderwolf cavalry unit for even more dice control.

Had a doubles game, I brought TWC and a stomrwolf with ulrik and the banner. My partner brought all grey hunters. At one point, 3 grey hunter units were in the bubble. It was a slaughter when they assaulted. Freaking 40 attacks with PF per unit.
