So this is a topic that has come up often at my flgs. For each end times army you get special rules for running the multiple armies. For example Undead legion armies don't crumble, and Eternity King armies have martial and Murderess Prowess. Now this is my question. Should people still run the end times army special rules even if their army only has one of the combined armies?

Ultramarine army- 10k
Imperial knights- 2
Vampire counts- 2k
Eternity King- 3k
Dark Eldar: Eternal Thorn 1300pts
And lots of other armies, I just cant fit them here

There is no reason not to, unless you want certain special characters.

Trade rules: lower rep trades ships 1st. - I ship within 2 business days, if it will be longer I will contact you & explain. - I will NOT lie on customs forms, it's a felony, do not ask me to mark sales as "gifts". Free shipping applies to contiguous US states.

Yup, pretty much agreed.

Unless the special character you want is not in the list, there is just about no reason not to run Legion / Host rules. Particularly if you're chaos / elves (especially elves... they get a major advantage from Host of the Eternity King).

In my opinion you shouldnt run the special rules for the combined armies unless you have the multiple armies. If you just have High Elves just run a High elves army, not an eternity king army.

I understand your concern, but there is no reason an End Times army, marching after all the upheaval, couldn't still be made entirely of units from one or the other. Maybe the Eternity King kept a particullarly effective formation of pure Dark Elves together. It would still be subject to the End Time rules and fluff, yet be made entirely of Dark Elf units.
