HQ:
sorcerer - (have extra pts to spend)

Troops:
3x 5 csm - meltagun, asp champ - combi-melta - dreadcalw 480

Fast Attack:
2x heldrakes - baleflamer

Heavy Support:
2x fire raptor - reaper batteries, balefire incendiary missiles, warpstone gargoyles

LoW:

typhon heavy seige tank - heavy flamer, ceramite plating

Fortification:

imperial bastion(bunker) - comms relay, quad guns - not possible

So I want to mess with wave serpent spam, barbed hierodule nids and crazy necs with barges and scythes. I feel an elite tyoe list with some serious threats just might do it.

Have you included armoured ceremite on the Typhon?

You realise someone has to man the comms relay for it to work right? And you can't take a comms relay and quad gun.

Im afraid im terribly unconvinced by the effectivness of dreadclaws, especially with such insignificant passengers.

heldrake are usless, use the planes from imperail armour 13 and of them is better besides the bomber, use the one that is like a stromraven version for csm

I can't agree that helldrakes are useless. They are the best marine in cover killers that there are. The Typhon does a pretty good job of that too, so you could dial it back to one.

I think two fire raptors cover anti air sufficiently.
Do you mean the stormeagle lucian? That could work, better than the dreadclaw..

I assume you are refering to heltalons - which I do not have. The sorc is manning the bunker. A bunker can have comms and quad I believe.

The troops are not there to do much. The flyers and typhon are the damage producers. If I manage to take out something with the meltas - great.

Sorceror in the bunker makes sense. Pretty vulnerable to being flamed..

Afraid only one battlement & battlefield upgrade can be taken per fortification. You could get both by networking a bastion and an aegis, but thats a lot more points.

I think the fact I play Taghmata and Legio has something to do with the way the list was crafted. When asked to hel[p develop my mechanicum roots came out.

There are no broken combos in the list but ... all the flyers are tough, the dreadclaws are a pain, the typhon is a harcd counter. The opponent will have to be very careful prioritizing becuase turn two will be rough. A lot of units are likely to drop.

Turn one I'm in hide mode. I want my two pods in cover. I want my sorcerer on the bastion and the typhon behind it. I'm not alpha striking unless he leaves himself wide open for it or if he scouts/infiltrates I will be forced to react.

So after all you guys have said ...

Sorcerer, 60 (starts in bastion)

2x 10 Chaos Space Marines, 2 Melta, Dreadclaw 520
5 Chaos Space Marines, Melta, Meltabomb 90 (starts in bastion)

2x Hell Blade, Hellstorm Autocannons 230

2x Fire Raptors, Reaper Batteries, Balefire Incidiary Missiles, Warpflame Gargoyles 460

Typhon, Armoured Ceramite 370

Bastion, Comms Relay, Escape Hatch 120

I feel the reaper batteries on the fire raptors are more AA than you'd ever need.

Do you have ways of killing termies and vehicles? What I really mean to ask is what type of weapons does the typhon have? I'm seeing it in all sorts of lists since IA13 came out.

Looks better.

I can't help but think that a warpsmith + cultists would be more survivable than the sorceror+ marines and give you the ability to repair the Typhon.

You would have to take maelific powers to qualify for the Infernal relics, and a level 1 sorcerer is a terrible summoner. (And a very fragile warlord).

Dreadclaw can mishap... just so that you are aware. I was very keen on them untl I realise just how bad this makes them... (unless you're playing on very open battlefields).

The Kharybdis is the only option we have that's got whatever the upgrade is called that stops the mishap on deepstrike.

Deep striking is an art. But the dreadclaw can deep strike well away from everything and then just turbo-boost to where it wants to go. You would be very unlucky to mishap.

I could see using the warpsmith and cultists. That is a good catch. Really the sorcerer is just the obligatory HQ - I was expecting nothing from him. I certainly was not planning on casting much. The warpsamith however could leave the comfort of his bastion and repair. He can also have aura for a nice 2+/5+ save.
