I... actually don't know. Help?

Well, title says it all. Say I'd start a new army, ally-able with Chaos Space Marines. Any suggestions? I'd prefer not to have Come the Apocalypse.

Two good choices: Daemons or the new Necrons.

Daemons are cool but tricky.

IA13 R&H are cheap fantastic and pretty powerful.

Daemons add some cool MCs to our arsenal.
I feel Necrons are bested by our Plague brothers.
Orks I feel are bested by cultists.

Daemons really are the way to go IMO, if any allies are taken at all.

I use Renegades as my Primary (to unlock better plague zombies) and a CSM CAD (where most of my points are). There are a lot of great units in the IA:13 book, and Renegades offer a lot of things Chaos lacks (decent troop options, cheaper anti-tank, etc.)

The new Necrons might be very good, we'll see once the codex is released.

Chaos rapiers are the bees knees. Imagine to your opponents dismay seeing 9 str 10 ap1 large blast Chaos Rapiers hiding in ruins, forests and on top of terrain, zoning and destroying if not permanently forcing your army to jink for all time or suffer the irreparable death that surely comes with being hit with said large blast.

And the darn things are stupid cheap too! >.<
