I living in the chicago area i follow what is going on with Adepticon. Has anyone else seen the rules packet for the march to mount doom tournment? http://www.adepticon.org/wpfiles/2015/2015lotr.pdfThis has just given me a great idea for an ongoing tournment/campaign idea.

So ill cut the city in half and have the northern group and the southern group. Have them play a series of games that will be scheduled baised on the players themselves and turn in a game report. Then after a few games we can start the elimination round comprised of the top 4 from the north and the top 4 from the south until we crown the city CHAMPION!!!!

All of the games will be centered around a narritive campaign which will throw a wrench into peoples plan. There will be a tournment priority based off of the performances of good and evil. This will have to be ballenced since i doubt we will have equal numbers on each side. Painting WILL be scored but is NOT required. Bonus points will be given to players for painting, posting battle reports, and army THEME!!!!!!!!!! Fluffy armies(as voted on by the gamers) will recieve bonus points to their overall ranking score to determine the top 8. After the top 8 are determined painting scores, battle reports, and theme points are out as this will be a single elimination tournment, the only thing that matters is the WIN. No ties allowed(scenerios will have to be altered to accomidate the change).

So what do you guys think of this idea? Would you participate if it ment you had to get 1 game in every 2 weeks? I was thinking in the 600-750 point range using the same army restrictions as last years championships. Basically offical rules only, no gollum, tom, goldberry, or goblin scribe. We will NOT be using the army compisition of this years march to mount doom.
