So I'm starting to play WFB and I'm doing Empire. I have some really sweet Halfing Dogs of War models form the good old days that I want to use as huntsmen. Theres my first question. Is there any real issue with me doing this in Organized Play/GT's?

Secondly, I see that there's a cool SC that is a super huntsmen. So I'm thinking I could put one of the Halfling command models on a keg or something suitable to make him stand out, and use him as said special character? Would this be fine?

In 40k this sort of thing flys all the time, and you just need to make sure your opponent is 100% clear on what the special unit is/does.

Opinions? Objections? Statements about why halflings are so awesome?

You'd need to check with the tournament organizer - GW has dropped their support pretty much so each sets their own.

Halflings as huntsmen sound great and shouldn't cause confusion for anyone.

I think a big thing between players, and what you'll see from most organizers, is that if the proxy you're making does well to represent what the model / unit is supposed to be, and your opponent recognizes that, then it's not a problem. If, however, you're using Skeletor as a Bone Giant, or something like that, then there may be an issue. heh
