Hi all,

I'd like to get to the bottom of how exactly the blood slaughterers Blind Fury rule, works exactly on the tabletop,

The rule is as follows.
"In its movement phase it must always move as fast as possible towards the closest visible enemy, and must consolidate towards the closest visible enemy after an assault"

Now I'm pretty sure fire arcs don't apply here, so it will have 360 vision and draw line of sight as normal, so I'm not worried about that. But in terms of 'move towards' there is some ambiguity.

Could be interpreted as:
A; End you move closer to the enemy than you started. (as close to the enemy as possible)

B: Plot the shortest path to the enemy, and move as far as possible along that path.

Take the situation below. There is an obstacle between the BS and the closest enemy blocking its path.

If you take A as the interpretation, then the BS cannot move, as it is close to the enemy as it can get.

However if you take B, the BS ends it move further away from the enemy than it started - but will actually reach it eventually.

Another bit of ambiguity, is if you reach your target (stopping within 1" as per the rules), can you continue moving to get into a better position, as long as you remain within 1"?

it gets a bit more complicated with a squadron, but lets see if we get consensus on these first.

You have to move towards the enemy unit, not just closer. That means all movement has to be in a direction towards the closest visable enemy.

Neither A nor B accurately convey this. Though A is functionally the same in both examples (so in neither case can the BS move because to do so would require the BS move in directions no towards the closest visable enemy)
