Had an epic multiplayer battle, three people in a free for all! Models in the battle include Warhammer 40,000 and Infinity.

Game was 1000 points per side, had Orks, Iron Warriors (Chaos) and The Order (Tau + Auxiliaries).

Check it out on this blog for pics and a pinch of video:

Three player was kind of challenging!

How is that defiler even legal?

Awesome! I love stuff like this, and the models are great. How did you handle having three turns? I would imagine whoever went third, especially on the first turn, would just get butchered

Cool battle. Thanks for sharing the report and the rules. Three-way games are extremely tough to setup and play fairly.

This game had some experimental factors but yeah, to answer some specifics...

Filch: Well, the Defiler is heavily converted, but no one had problems with it. In some ways it's a bit harder to use, but the flamer was easier

SweaterKittens: The turns were handled more like 40k epic but with some adjustments. Using a set of rules that are still in development, the three players got to shoot 'simultaneously'. Ultimately, we:

1) Moved in a single turn (taking it in turns moving a unit at a time)

2) Shot at the same time (casualties yet to shoot were left on their side)

3) Charged at the same time (models with highest Initiative got to charge first)

The game went quicker than a conventional game.

If this kind of 'modding' to the game floats your boat, or you want to be able to add minis from other game systems to your army, then check out this Facebook page:

Yep, it took a bit of using the ol' noggin to try and get this to work. Three player is much harder than 4, IMO. I wonder if I'll do 5 player sometime?! O_o

Love the board! So simple and effective. I really like the attitude as well trying out the three way; when I've tried them one player almost always gets the hump declaring the others have made a secret pact!
