I'm just starting to paint up a slamander squad and was wonderinG, what coclour should I do the eyes?

Are they normal or red, etc?

I think a really striking combination that would look awesome if done well would be to make the irises pale ice blue with the black dot of the retina. The pale color would be really striking against their black skin and dark colors in general.

If you are talking about the lenses in their helmets and not their actual eyes, then the traditional color for those has typically been red against their green armor.

Re: lenses I'd say that yellow is better for salamanders than red. It gives a clearer distinction between them and Dark Angels,

Well, other dark and/or green chapters use red eye lenses, if that helps you.

I thought due to genetic circumstances Salamanders eyes are red? For helmet lenses I'd use a colour that doesn't clash with the green you are using for the rest of it.
