I had an idea for a Necrons army with electric blue substituted for the green. Then I discovered that the green is actually predone, as a separate green rod. Is there a way to tint the rod? I was wondering if Easter egg dye or something like that would work. Any ideas on how to do this are appreciated

(Also tell me of it isn't possible)

For the guy who leaves it all on the field (because he doesn't pick up after the game).

Only thing I can think of that would work would be to either replace the rods with blue or prime them and paint them the color your would like.

There are Remote Control Car paints for the plastic bodies that are transparent. Just tints the plastic to allow for internal lights and things. Might work but I make no promises.

Prime it and paint it. Best way by far.

If they were clear(like the storm raven cockpit plastic) then you can get transparent paint to tint it. I highly doubt this would look good since the rods are already green.

I believe I have seen some places online selling replacement rods, I am like 90% sure I have seen red ones before. Maybe worth some google-fu first before you start.

Plastruct has different colored acrylic rods available, but you'll need to do some checking to get the right size and you'll have to cut them by hand.

Yeah, I doubt you could re-tint the existing rods, since they're green all the way through. As above, painting or replacing them are the obvious options.
