Hello all. This is my first post to dakka, glad to finally be contributing to this great forum. I've been working on a Borderlands themed DE force for a bit now, and would love some critiques on the stuff I've got done so far. First up is Captain Scarlett.Ive never worked with tiny plasticard before, and I'm pretty happy with the results.

Well, now that tshft is over, I can finally get back to working on this project. Re-did the color scheme a bit, think it looks much better now. Also got a pair of buggies constructed.

I would love some brutally honeat critique on the paint scheme.

Your painting technique is excellent. Better than anything I could pull off, anyway. As for the color scheme, I like the reds and the checker pattern, but I think that it might benefit from some yellow or orange details if you're going for the Borderlands look. Alternatively, you could vary the color scheme between models with unifying motifs to separate squads to really get the BL aesthetic.
Those Outrunners are awesome. What will they be used as for in-game purposes?

The runners will be used as Venoms (they're just about the right size). I've converted the Raiders into sand skiffs from the Scarlett expansion :

Looking great so far. Great part on that tiny checker patern on the gun. When I try that I usualy mess up and end up making warning stripes out of them.

A hemophobic Khorne berzerker, a germophobic plague marine and a sexy Skaven walk in to a Games workshop.....
