Hiya! Do you see any effectiveness in the following list? (Opponents will probably include Space Marines with similar tanks/Mortis dread and maybe some Tyranids, no tournament play)

1850-2000 roughly, haven't sorted it out.. I do know that I want the demonic Malefic ammo on whatever I can. Ahriman's whole purpose against the Tyranids is to kill monstrous creatures with Shriek.

Chaos Contemptor- Butcher Cannon
9 TS- Rhino

Infernal Predator- Plasmablasterofdoom, Heavy Bolter Sponsons
Fire Raptor- Reaper Battery, Possession
Chaos Sicaran- Lascannon Sponsons

FYI- I will be using Demonology on my Thousand Sons sorcerers within my gaming group to fish for Horrors or a Lord of Change.

Again, this is not for tournament play.

The chaos sicaran and fire raptor alone make this a half way decent list. They give you a decent amount of anti tank and durability. The lascannon sponsons are somewhat wasteful on the sicaran and if you plan to use malefic then you might want to take the Death of Kasyr Lutien legacy of ruin on the sicaran so you can get some rerolls.

The infernal predator is not a bad choice by any stretch. The HB probably aren't going to help as much as other options but it won't kill you.

The contemptor is probably the most overcosted unit in your list. Without a delivery mechanism you will have a very hard time getting much out of it.

Have you considered a dreadclaw to get Ahriman + his unit into place to fire their powers or a unit to DS in with him?

Also are you playing score as you go or score at the end?

I was digging around in my bits box and I found enough CSM bodies to convert an Aspiring Sorcerer and 8 "Rubric Marines", so here's a modified list.. It's 1848, and I pretty much dropped the Dread and sorcerer upgrades.. Thanks for your input so far... Here is my next idea with a Dreadclaw.

We will most likely play Emperor's Will with one Objective each.

I just noticed that the High Velocity AC has Rending so I still want to keep the Lascannons on the Sicaran.. I think this list is more lean-and-mean.. and it keeps with my goal of just having a simple core of Thousand Sons with support.
