Hey dakkadakka,

I'm on the hunt for legs similar to the AM Sentinel but a much smaller scale, thus far the only item that seems close are Forge World parts.

These Thallax are likely the right size, but I wonder if I've missed a kit that might be as suitable for a kit bash. Suggestions? Thanks!

Anvil Industries has some bionic/cyborg style that are suitable for marine-sized conversions.

You might want to look into some of the various Mecha games out there (Heavy Gear, etc) and check out the various ranges they offer. Kind of on the expensive side, though. Reaper's CAV range might work for you as well and I think they sell the parts separately in their Graveyard section.

It might behoove you to check out some old Mechwarrior singles. (I think T&T still have quite a few.) You can usually find some good ones under $1 apiece.

Also, I like to say "behoove" for no reason. It's a nice woody word.

I notice my posts seem to bring threads to a screeching halt. Considering the content of most threads on dakka, you're welcome.

Mechwarrior singles are a very good suggestion. I got rid of most of my extras, but if you find anyone with a collection, they've probably got some great industrial mechs (these were the worst in the game) that they will give you for free or near-it. They're ideal if you're looking for a model that's going to stand 2-3 inches tall.

If you want something bigger, then Robogear kits are a good bet, you can find them on ebay.

If you want something smaller and cheaper, the Battletech-sized EM4 Mechs give you quite a number of options for less than a buck each.

Last, and possibly best, the Reaper CAV series has all manner of Mechs and you can buy all the legs separately! There's a huge variety of robot legs to choose from. CAVs tend to be around 2 inches tall, but some are smaller and some are taller.
You should look in the CAV section. Each Mech should have the parts broken down on it's sale page.

and the "robot supply" section where old CAV models ended up

CAV parts will probably be more expensive than the other options I listed, but MUCH cheaper than buying the Forge World kit.

Best of Luck!
