You have the quantity of boyz you need to run a successful green tide I believe you should pickup the W!G supplement and enjoy all multi assault fearless mob of 100 boyz goodness it has to offer.
Rewrite the list to include the formation and then come back for more information.
You can use the Mad Dok to give the Green Tide fearless and fnp then it's a matter of just having a warboss and deciding which relic you want.

I am the kinda ork that takes his own washing machine apart, puts new bearings in it, then puts it back together, and it still works. |

^ that.
You don't just need the Mad Doc though. A regular Painboy is just as good, then give your Warboss Da Big Bosspole for Fearless.
The Mad Doc has a nice PK, but you don't want the mode who gives everyone FnP to co into CC being lost due to challenges (or whatever else picks you off). FnP is faaaaaaar too powerful to chance loosing.
The Warboss is there to keep the the Tide being able to Waaagh! every turn. The Big Bosspole is the best thing he can take as he can't take Da Finkin Kap or Da Lucky Stikk (as per the supliments rules). But a Waaagh! and fearless is better than both of those things. You can still have Da Lucky Stikk on a Big Mek, if you choose. However the Weirdboy is cheaper and arguably gives better buffs. Most people tend not to give the Warboss a PK and also keep him safe, out of combat.

30 Orks by Foot.
17-20 in a Battlewagon.
12 in a Trukk.
I want offical rules for the Super-Ork that the Mad Dok is working on... |

My problem with The Green Tide is that it's a lot of points (eggs) in one basket. I understand it's usefulness but it's only giving you opponent 1 target that awards he 11vp when he destroys it if I've read correctly. That dampens my insensitive to use it otherwise I would in a heartbeat.

More than likely, 9 times out of ten he will not be able to kill every boy in the tide. More turns be chooses just to shoot it he isn't shooting everything else. It's meant to lose boys.

I agree with what /\ they all said. If hes shooting at the boys you can sneak in some deffkoptas or warbikers to harass him.

If you don't enjoy playing against people with unpainted armies, break into their house when they sleep, paint their figures for them, help yourself to their cheerios and then your problems will be solved.
Well, my opponents usually don't have more than 1-2 Wave Serpents 'cos Serpent spam is very expensive in real life money.

All fair points. It's at least given me something else to consider and try. I was thinking about going to a tournament that will be allowing full access to Lords of War. Is this formation still valid in that setting do you think?

Just a quick list at 1850 points is green tide with war boss in eavy armor, big bosspole, and power klaw, 10 boyz per squad, 2 squads with eavy armor, 2 squads w/ nob w/ power klaw bosspole. CAD w/ painboy w/ bosspole, big mek w/ da lucky stick, bosspole, and kff, 2 min squad gretchin, stompa. Comes to 1845.
I posted this list in another thread. This list actually gives you 150 points to still play with. As well as a LoW with green tide.
