Just speculating with a DE list, its my first time trying to make one, but essentially the BSB on the alter makes it pretty tough to kill.

To be honest, the chariots and hydras add nothing to the list. I d drop hem for bolt throwers and something to deal with armour. Either executioners, or greatcav masters.

Oh, and warlocks.


The BSB isn't as tough as you think. It's not a 4 wound T10 war machine any more. It's a chariot. So your BSB will get hit by any template and only has a 5++.

I was going to add more like that though it felt a little like my entire list would concist of only 2 blocks, I was wanting to spread the targets out a little more.

And thats a good point about the couldron id have completely forgotten.

If I'm going to run greatcav masters or executioners. More inclined for the cav. Then it might be best giving the couldron to hellebron and making the bsb a master.

I've never had the luxury of playing against warlock/brolock list so I really don't know what they concist of / how they work though I am rather interested.

Your current list has one block. And it's not even that great at anti armour, beyond Hellebron. Who, by the way, is good, unless she comes up with another model with ASF, at which point, she will kill it but likely die in the process.

Don't give Hellebron a cauldron. It makes her more of a target, as her base is wider, and can be picked out, and she only has a 5+ ward. You should make the BSB a master regardless. Stick him on a peg with a 1+ armour, a lance, and the cloak of twilight.

As for the brolocks. Just take two blocks of 5. Play them like chaff drops/mobile soulblight platforms. I run two of them with Morathi(Best caster option in the book), and place each of them on a respective flank.

Or you take the character wall in a block of 10 with a level 4 life on steed.

I've altered the list to this so far but it needs pruning as its clearly gone over the points.
Taking into account what you've advised I find myself wanting to run hellebron and morathi, but the points cost of those two are rather high.
I'm also not entirely sure of the value of the cauldron.
Unfortunately I can't take from the core in order to cut back some of those points also. Not entirely sure what to do from here xD

If you're unsure of the cauldron's value, remember, it buffs all rolls to wound. This includes the shooting, and magic of any model with Murderous Prowess.
