I am going to be in Houston off-and-on for this year, and was wondering if there were any gamers playing LotR, Flames of War, Field of Glory (or any Ancient's Medieval), Infinity (which I have never played, but want to)...

I do not have many miniatures here with me (a few LotR miniatures, and two Ancient's Armies, based for Field of Glory in 15mm - technically also Hoplon, which is like a cross between FoG and DBM - it is a really good game for Ancients and Medievals, but the High Middle-Ages and Renaissance parts still need work), and it has been years since I played anything but FoG.

But I really need to take some time to do something that isn't work or school, as I am becoming misanthropic from the isolation.

FoW has been calling me most, even though I have none of the miniatures with me (I only have a company from the 100th Infantry Division that landed in the South of France after D-Day - my Great Uncle was in that division as an Anti-Tank gunner and an M-10 gunner, briefly... And those are in LA).

But, in truth... I would be up for about anything.

Try Asgard Games. I have seen folks play Flames of War, Warhammer, Warmachine and other games there.

Another great place is Fat Ogres up in the Woodlands, awsome turn outs for any event and some of the best people I've ever thrown die with.

The pen is mightier then the sword, but you must keep a sword handy for when the pen runs out of ink.
