Hi all,
So I've been away from Dakka since last spring, and taken a big move away from 40K to my second but more enduring love, Necromunda. In a new city (Manchester, OK I lived here as a wean but still) and got a new gaming buddy. We're setting up an Inquisimunda campaign, I'm happy with my minis and all, but neither of us have played it before.

Has anyone here tried it before? The reason I'm asking is the rules seem unfinished. They make good guidelines but quite a bit of the phrases are ambiguous, and I'm used to the very carefully parsed NCE by now. I'm wondering if anyone has experience of it, and/or a list of updates or house rules they've used with it before.

Ta,
Cap'n R.

P.S. I can't help but enjoy list building, and I've managed to build a starting list with 20-22 models, 14 T4 wounds, 6 T5 wounds, 11-13 giant rats and 2 wyrds. Thus me wondering whether there's some FAQ's and I should start again...

Run a whole lot of wfrp and other rpg's, play The Woods and Kill Team, gather and look mournfully at imperial guard knowing I'll never finish enough to use them on the tabletop

Played a little, and really enjoyed it, the freedom you get in it is fantastic, combined with good game mechanics.

However the rules are not polished, and do require some moderation, with the costs of some units/weapons being a little 'iffy'. As long as you get players who play more for the enjoyment of the fluff and the game, rather than simply to win, then there isn't much of an issue, and we found it worked far better this way.

In terms of rules, we housed ruled it to be similar to NCE, (i believe it was designed for ORB) and agreed we could fiddle with the costs as long as we all agreed on them. Then there were no problems. ORB did suffer from ambiguity, and this carries over somewhat.

Overall, it is very enjoyable, even more so if you enjoy list writing, thanks to the sheer number of options available.

Enjoy!

Hi Soggy,
thanks for that I don't suppose you could get your hands on any house rules you used?
My areas of concern are manifold, but in particular I'm curious as to how IG kill teams earn income and how the whole 'investigation rating' mechanic works out in practice.
We can just figure out out a whole load of house rules ourselves but it'd be good to have a starting point for how others have brought it closer to NCE.
