Gold comes in lots of shades unless its pure, maybe his has more copper in it...

I'm aware...


I still think it looks a little too orange. Especially when Sanguinius has always been depicted with shining, bright gold armor. Just my opinion, it's still well painted, I just think the color is a little off.

I went with a warmer gold color, rather than a cooler one for this guy. I think that the cooler color tends to give a slightly more realistic look to it, but I felt that this matches some of the older artwork better (probably just because of the lighting, or Blanches' love for warm-neutral colors).

Anyway, it is totally up to you whether this works or not, and I can definitely see painting him in cooler golds.

I suppose a cooler gold might look more impressive, but yeah he always used to be a really orangey gold back in the 90s.

I suppose that everything was orange in the '90s.
