So I’m reworking what Necrons I have into the Decurion detachment from the new codex. I’m keeping with the theme of my army, being a large number of squads slogging across a dense cityscape supported by a few heavy vehicles and units that can quickly move through the terrain.

I would drop one Immortal squad to get a Night Scythe for the LG/O Lord crew. I know you are largely committed to the foot slogging thing but that one extra plain could really boost that units viability.

Other then that I like the lists symmetry and the variety of its firepower arsenal. I'm still not sure what to think of Doom Scythes but I do think the formation is one of the ways to go if they are going to work. Wonder what 4 would look like....

I would drop the ark/barge formation and bring a royal court. Stick a cryptek with a chronometron in a 20 man blob of warriors and they'll have 4+/5++/4? Vs everything, plus relentless and move through cover. I think 2-3 units like that could be pretty neat, especially with some lychguard or the canoptek formation for support. If you really want to slog, you need more models to ensure area denial for your opponent.

I don't really see the Night Scythe boosting the unit's viability. I already have the Veil of Darkness to get the Overlord and the Lychguard where they're needed on the board.

I already have the Doomsday Ark and Annihilation Barges and I think I'll give them a try before I invest in more models.
