I like the idea of Monoliths and the Obelisk but the Living Tomb formation just doesn't seem to work for me. It doesn't even take advantage of the Obelisk's 3++ ability and adding 2 Monoliths leaves little room for much else. So I decided to try a CAD.

It's a very straight forward list. Every tournament I've been to has drop pod lists so I always try to build something that can survive an alpha strike. Everything will start on the board. The warriors will leave their transports to grab objectives and to be teleported around by the Monoliths when needed. Between the Warriors and Arks, there's 8 objective secured units. The Obelisk's Dangeroud Terrain aura will help slow down melee agressors and the Monoliths will allow me to move Warriors away from a dangerous area.

This is mostly just a list to use my 2 Monoliths who have sat on a shelf for years.

FYI - you can take a Monolith ( 0-3 ) as part of the normal Reclamation Legion. This negates the use of having to take the 'Living Tomb' formations Obelisk.

I could do that if I just want Monoliths, but I can't do that if I also want to start the Obelisk on the board.

This is a very resilient army list but after doing some math I'm finding that it won't be able to kill a lot. It'll rely on objective secured to hold objectives and just outlast my opponent.

However he would have to take the Living Tomb formation if he wants an Obelisk in a Decurion detachment.
