Finalizing my Competitive Taulamanders List:
The only difference between Version 1 and Version 2 is the following"
Version 1 FarSun Bomb with 6 suits, 5 of which have 2x Fusion Blasters.
Version 2 FarSun Bomb with 5 suits, 4 of which have 2x Fusion Blasters, 2 of which have Target Locks. +1 Gun Drone, +2 MV52 Shield Drones (3++)
Basically I'm losing 2 twin linked melta shots in favor of adding 1 wound and the ability to split fire.
My 2 worse case scenerios is facing a shielded Imperial Knight for version 2 and MSU for version 1.
Your input will be valued.

-1x Crisis w C&CN, MSSS, Puretide, OG, Vectored

TROOPS:

-6x FW

Do you happen to have any kroot? They could help you here, maybe replace one FW team with them.
If not though then this is still looking like a pretty good list! Looks like a lot of fun to play. However, do you really need 10 fusion blasters in one unit all firing at the same thing? Lol. They need some plasma goodness and target locks. I'd suggest dropping the onager gauntlet and giving 2 fusion suits target locks, then giving the rest dual plasma seeing as they all have to shoot at what farsight shoots at.
No drones will also mean you die a lot faster, but I guess you can't really fit any in

The fusion spam is to kill (mortally wound) imperial knights which I expect to be a huge part of the LVO meta. Im guessing 2 per list.
Since i normally play orks (love my boys) my biggest concern is losing to greenskins. Imagine a table flipping gorilla rampaging into the streets of Las Vegas before having to be tazed and tranquilizer darted before being placed in a Hannibal Lector type restraint and muzzle.
Multiple small units will give me trouble:
-Daemons
-Orks
-Bugs
-White Scars
-Marine TAC.

Ah okay, makes sense! But that does leave you pretty low on volume of fire for anything else

Right. I'll make a player feel good about bringing a take all comer list when they beat the tar out of me. Oh but that expensive wave serpent list? Pop. Pop. Pop. Gotta lynx? Kaboom? Knight? Hamstrung.

Why not give both tac squads flamers since you probably have enough melta on your other units.

If you drop Vulkan for a cheaper HQ ( like a lvl2 librarian) and make both tac squads flamers you could fit in another 100 points ish maybe add in some drones and some more marker light support

It has 7 HQs, 2 Troop types with Dedicated Transports, 5 Elite units, 5 Fast Attack units, 6 Heavy Support units, 2 Formations with unique units not in the rest of the codex, and 2 LOW choices.

I would have SM be primary so you can get use out of Vulkans special rules. That or drop him for a cheap HQ.

@Finkle:
Vulkan doesn't have to be the warlord to envoke his melta special rule. FYI.
@DoomShaka
Dropping Vulkan for a libby is a pretty good defensive play I think. It could give me some flexibility in the psychic phase, where I currently have zero foot print. However, it would hamstring my alpha striking sternguard with combi-meltas.

Considering what you're likely to see at the LVO, I wouldn't change much. I do have a question about tau crisis suits though. You mention the fusion being twin-linked, but I thought you could also give them two fusion so that they got two shots instead of one twin-linked shot. Is this not the case?

I prefer legion of the damned over Sternguard as they ignore cover. Also they are relentless so can fire their multi melta the turn they arrive.
