My FLGS will be ahving 250 points game nights soon, so i'll be bringing me Dakka Gitz! Now, They only consist of a few hundred points, but that doesn't matter. RIght now, I've found what I think could be a good list.

Nob w/ PK, TL Shoota, Bosspole

Any other ideas? I've got quite a tight budget, so please don't tell me to buy a Morkanaut.

You don't need a Morkanaut...a Stompa maybe

I'm not sure that is a legal list. Is it 250pt unbound?

At this point you would probably be best served getting a Warboss and more boyz.

It's unbound, but atleast 1 troops unit. I was thinking about getting a Painboy to attach to my 22 Boyz.

problem is your gonna footslog 22 boyz across the board with nothing to distract the guy.

what you could do is

Trukk boyz x10
nob pk
trukk w/big shoota

trukk boyz x 10
nob pk
truck w/rokkitz

thats a good way to deliver your boys, itherwise they wont make it'

and trukks are cheap

i agree with both of these, gret ideas, but i think since you already have the 22 boyz, it might be better, since i imagine you'll want to use them, to get the trucks

Don't use the attack squig it is IMO a useless upgrade, as an ork player I will take a warboss just for the waaagh because without the 1 in 6 chance of getting prophet of da waaagh you won't get one.

I've done tournaments at 500pts Never any lower. Low point matches usually become all about efficiency.
Boys are really efficient... Tank bustas are also rather efficient depending on your opponent... Painboys are a cheap HQ... You're cost to having something man. Keep tweeking.

Doktors list is 250 exactly

with that said let me tell you how I would ruin his list in one turn.

Big Mek

Lootas x 7
Wagon

Boyz x 11 Nob BP, Big Choppa.

Big mek joins the Lootas in the wagon and drives around the entire game. on turn 1 I kill your Mega nobz wagon and spend the rest of the game shooting your foot slogging Mega nobz :-p

Your first list is pretty good. Realistically at this point level an SM player could afford one, maybe two squads of PA. I always tend to favor overwhelming boyz.

I think the toss up comes from either using a painboy or a Warboss. You will need something to deal with the possibility of at least one or two tanks depending on your opponent. One PK won't suffice, and a challenge will neutralize that threat.

Kill 3 mega nobs as an ork player turn 1 cheaply? Kustom mega kannon. Or 3... Or 5. They cost next to nothing. Best part is as you disintegrate the nobs you can flick your hand from your pocket at your opponent and yell"pocket sand"

Ps if your response is, but they're in a trukk, Try to remember trukks are made of paper.

I didn't say kill the mega nobz on turn one, I just said kill your trukk. that leaves your Mega nobz foot slogging the entire game and they will be easy to run around and shoot to death while in my trukk. Yes my trukk is made of paper as well but the difference is you have 3 TL shoota's im not to worried, especially with a Big Mek inside to repair it :-P

So is there pretty much never a time when footslogging is going to work? I was positive when I clicked this that there wouldn't be vehicles at 250.

footslogging works you just need something to distract them

I have found much success at 250 with my Ork horde list, especially at this point level. Other than tailoring a list to counter it, a giant boyz squad with a Warboss and a Painboy, or just he Painboy is a heck of a tall order to deal with. The only issue is when there is any armor, the one or two PK can sometimes b a problem to keep alive to make it to the armor. Spreading out the horde also helps to keep things in front of you.
