So it's not quite out yet but it is in the kickstarter stage. Currently it's 848% funded so funding isn't much of an issue at this point. According to what they say it'll come out somewhere mid-2015.

Apparently the Matrix has been re-worked as has magic and other things. I'm just excited there's going to be another 'shadowrun returns' game.

I'll wait for retail.

They are offering no reason to give them cash up front if you just want the game.

It's $5 cheaper if you back it on kickstarter, and comes with other digital goodies like the soundtrack that you might not care about.

Still, $5 cheaper.

I backed the previous kickstarter, and backed this one as well. I need a messenger bag to go with my USB dog tags...

I see the game for $15, which is what the others have sold for on Steam. I guess I assumed this would be the same price, but now I noticed it says retail is $20. Never mind!

Ugh. I backed the original Shadowrun Returns deal, but this is getting to be a bit much.

I wanted a decent storyline and the ability to make and play modules, and instead they just keep making incremental changes to their games and releasing it as a whole new product, which is going to fragment the creative community and require buying whatever their newest version is.

Hopefully they come out with an integrated version at some point, because this sucks.

So wait, Shadowrun returns isn't one big MMO type game, I thought that was the original point of it. What is the purpose behind the characters in the kickstarter, I though you made your own character?

If you dont short hand your list, Im not reading it.
Example: Assault Intercessors- x5 -Thunder hammer and plasma pistol on sgt.
or Assault Terminators 3xTH/SS, 2xLCs
For the love of God, GW, get rid of reroll mechanics. ALL OF THEM!

I think you're thinking of Shadowrun Online, which is the multiplayer MMO-ish game. Shadowrun Returns is a single player RPG where you do make your own character and the other characters, like the ones in the kickstarter, are used to fill out your team of runners.

I haven't played the directors cut of either of the existing campaigns yet, but I'd be willing to play a professionally done new one. Yes though, I'd rather they just had the base game and added these on as expansions rather than expandalone, but that's down to how they've decided to implement things.

I like the setting and having different areas of the world cropping up for campaigns is cool rather than the usual American setting. Independent stories are fine, though it would be nice to have a sequel to an existing one, but that would involve more effort. Having characters crop up from the other campaigns and mention tidbits would be nice to see however, or at least nods to what's going on elsewhere (which I'll admit the existing content has done already).

If they really wanted to shake things up I'd like to see them maybe covering things from the latest version of the game rather than the earlier one they've been working with. Of course it would mean changes in core concepts like Decking however. I think though that there's plenty to work with in the existing time period.

What really differentiates Hong Kong from the existing campaigns other than the setting? Excuse me if I skim read the Kickstarter page, but all I saw were new companions, not a wrung of features.

Ahh ok, you are correct then. Weird my memory thinks they are almost the same graphics and game type.

My secret fortress at the base of the volcano!

It's funny... I'm currently running a dice n' paper Shadowrun game on Friday nights, and I've been using Hong Kong as the setting for the campaign. I may have to pick this game up when it comes out.

Emperor's Eagles (undergoing Chapter reorganization)
Caledonian 95th (undergoing regimental reorganization)
Thousands Sons (undergoing Warband re--- wait, are any of my 40K armies playable?)
