Subject: So... What units have Gunslinger?

Ancient Space Wolves Venerable Dreadnought
I... actually don't know. Help?
|
Are there any units/models that can use the Gunslinger rule? I know Cypher's one, but are there any other units?

Adeptas Soritas Seraphim come with dual pistols.
Dark Angels Veterans can take a bolt pistol and a plasma pistol.
Possibly some space marine sergeants.

All models. Every single one has Gunslinger since it is a rule to do with Pistol type weapons and bound to Pistol type weapons. If Tyranids were able to carry pistols they would have it as well.
The notable units are Blood Angels because of what their pistols are. Sergeants can carry two Inferno pistols firing 6" Melta twice. Or dual Hand Flamers so double up on the hits they make.
If a model has the option to purchase two pistols, replacing their melee and/or sidearm with (pistol type) then they can have Gunslinger and fire both in the shooting phase. But, in the case of plasma pistols, that's 30pts for what a standard plasma gun can do for half the cost. Only benefit is that they can charge. Whoopie. Not a common thing outside of Blood Angels really.

Inquisitors can, and not just with the bolt-pistol-and-plasma-pistol combo - there are also inferno pistols (Hereticus) and needle pistols (Xenos).
Ministorum priests can take a laspistol and bolt pistol.
An Acolyte can take a laspistol and a plasma pistol.

If I'm reading the DE codex correctly, you can take the Parasite's Kiss splinter pistol artifact without replacing any other weapon, allowing your HQ to dual wield splinter pistols. Could potentially be good, allowing you to fire both pistols in the shooting phase, then switching to your archite glaive/CCW

To be clear, Gunslinger isn't a USR that a unit/model only has if the Codex/supplement says it does. It's not listed in the Special Rules section of the book. It's just a thing that applies to pistols in general, which is why it's listed in the rules for Pistols.

In fairness I think the 20 pts it would cost to have the Parasites Kiss and a Blast Pistol is a better combo. Thanks for the idea though!
