So I'm trying to make a fun list for me to use in local friendly games, I don't really do competitions and am still kind of new to the game, but I would like to lose a little less. I've been trying to run my chaos marines in close combat and troop heavy but it hasn't really worked too well this far. I have an idea for a more armor heavy playlist and I've been collecting the pieces for it now. I'm trying to keep the theme to Slaanesh/Tzeentch. I'm open to any advice on troop choices, and/or strategic tips.
So here's what I've got:
Total Points: 1498
HQ
Chaos Lord (Burning Brand of Skalanthrax, Close Combat Weapon, Mark of Slaanesh, Power Armour)
Warpsmith (Aura of dark glory,Mark of Tzeentch) * Warlord
Elites
Chosen x4 + Champion, Mark of Slaanesh2x Flamer +Chaos Rhino
Helbrute(Power fist, Reaper autocannon)
Troops
Chaos Cultists x9 with autoguns +Champ
Chaos Cultists x9 with autoguns +Champ
Noise Marines x7 (Icon of Excess 5x Sonic Bolters, 1x Blast Master, 1x Bolter + Champ
Noise Marines x7 (Icon of Excess, 6xBolter +CCW, +Champ, Doom Siren
Heavy Support
Chaos Predator (Autocannon, Havoc Launcher, Heavy Bolters)
Forgefiend (Two Hades Autocannon, 1 Plasma Cannon)
Obliterators x2 (Mark of Tzeentch)
So the general idea is to have a barrage of heavy fire from the back field, with the Warpsmith repairing the Predator/Forge Fiend, have the cultists sit on objectives, the noise marines play mid field (one more geared for close combat, one for ranged with sonic weaponry), and the Helbrute can either charge up with the noise marines and take a multimelta, or sit back with the armor and take the autocannon. Oblits will either sit in the backfield and unload long range weaponry, or if I'm facing a mech heavy army they can try to move up the side and get a better shot at side armor, or deep strike behind if I see an opportunity. Chaos Lord and Chosen will roll in the Rhino and flamer / burning brand from the hatch, until the time comes where they need to disembark.
That's all I've got for now, any advice is appreciated!
