Subject: Has anyone ever worked with Metalizer Buffing Powder?
No I had not used it, but is of interest.
Looks simple enough to try.
I have no use for it now but would easily prime / paint something small and try it out... looks like it will not break the bank.
Thanks for bringing it up, hope someone has tried it.

I seem to recall a nice Youtube review of another brand's offering (want to say the company name had something to do with raptors.. Eagle? Hawk?) used on some Eldar jetbikes. Quite a while ago, though, so I doubt I'd have any better luck finding it than you.
Don't see much on them, now, as they've largely been supplanted by buffable paints. Same idea, but with a much simpler method - spray on bare plastic, let dry, buff to desired sheen. No priming, no glossy undercoat, no loose powder. Mr Hobby does a range that's been covered by a few independent sources. Paul from ISM used it in one of the later parts of his F-15(?) build on their Youtube channel, if you want to see it in action.

Similar procedure to what we used to use in the FX shop for metallising up vacformed replica weapons for movies/TV.
That was to spray with gloss black, then cover in graphite powder (while the paint is STILL WET). When dry, buff the living bejaysus out of it. Came up all shiny and "old steel" looking.
It's not so good on things with lots of detail smaller than your hand, though.
I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).

Wait I can't tell is the part that is coloured had the treatment done to it, it looks really sparkly and shiny but I can't really tell and the videos unclear or does it come out just that silver colour?

If I lose it is because I had bad luck, if you win it is because you cheated.
