Possessed Khorne Marine Covered in Spikes






I had played 2 500 point games before this, but since I was still grasping the rules I lost terribly with no contest in both. And since I finally memorized most of everything here are the armies and the batrep!

CSM vs Necrons 1500 points (I would write lore, but sadly the lack of pictures really makes this a hard one to write much about, next time I promise lore and pictures)

This is an approximation of the Necron list I don't remember it exactly:

3 Units of Warriors

1 Unit of 20 Flayed Ones

2 Annihilation Barges

2 monoliths

1 Cyrptek

CSM: (Only read Vs Xenos Parts and exclude Vs space marine parts)

Melee Khorne list with suggestions from dakka dakka

2-Chaos Lord- Axe of Blinding fury, Mark of Khorne, +. Vs Space Marines Gift of Mutation 120 points
1-Kharn- 160

Troops:
1-8 Man Zerker Squad- Vs Xenos, whole squad has chain axes, champ has Melta bombs 191. Vs Space Marines, champ has Melta bombs and Lightning Claw 182

Starting Roll offs:

We rolled off and got purge the alien kill points deployment 12 inch away from table edge

We rolled to see who would go first I got it, he attempted to steal and... no CSM first turn

Turn 1:

CSM:
Cultists ran screaming up the center down two of the four lane exits to my deployment zones (To their probable demise) With maulerfiends crawling behind a building up ahead. All the HQs and Berzerkers sat safely in their transports each one being led by one and flanking on each side of the table. Everyone ran forwards after that eager to engage in carnage... A short turn one with no violence... The blood god is left waiting...

Necrons:
The whole Necron force sat cowardly at their table edge only moving close enough to spot the groups of cultists. One annihilation barge fired on the cultists on the right flank obliterating them to only 6 units causing them to route, while the one on the left side only managed to kill one cultist. The Necrons sat anxious for their reserves.

Turn 2:

CSM:
The two land raiders attacked the sides of the Necron line disgorging their occupants to the sides of the force while the mauler fiends and cultists ran ever closer the maulerfiends able to smell the enemies metal fear. The shooting phase ends with the death of one Necron warrior on the left flank from pistol fire. The berzerkers on both sides charge in! And fail horribly failing their charge leaving them out in the open. The maulerfiends on the other hand charge head long into the enemy one attacking an annihilation barge and the other the left most flank of warriors. The annihilation barge is destroyed and the warriors take casualties, but no loses are taken on the chaos side also, the cultists failed to regroup big surprise.

Necrons:
The Necron reinforcements almost all come in with 1 monolith and the unit of flayed ones coming in. The monolith drops scattering onto some boxes and immobilizing itself while the flayed ones come right in front of the cultists with no trouble. In the shooting phase the middle most squad of warriors open fire on the un-engaged maulerfiend lowering it to only a wound and the right most warriors with their HQ open fire upon Kharn's squad killing 3 of the 8 and dropping Kharn 1 wound. Also, the monolith kills one of the fleeing cultists. The maulerfiend in the assault phase continues to kill two warriors every turn, but they refuse to run.

Turn 3:

CSM:
All of the berzerkers move even closer to their targets to hopefully make their charge while the un-engaged maulerfiend moves to the middle squad of warriors. Nothing at all happens in the shooting phase. The assault phase kicks off with the maulerfiend immediately dying to Necron overwatch. All of the Berzerkers get into combat and proceed to slaughterer the left and right flanks of warriors kill each squad and their hq entirely. The 10 man cultist squad charges the flayed ones killing 2 before dying horribly.

Necrons:
The last monolith comes on and lands on a wall opposite my land raider on my left flank. Basically all that occurred was that Kharn's Squad was reduced to him and another berzerker and no one else.

Turn 4:

CSM:
With their mission of HQ murder done the berzerkers all pile back into their land raiders and the 5 man cultist squad hides behind a building hoping that everything just forgets they exist and the maulerfiend cowering in a corner behind the .left flank land raider.

Necrons:
They just attempt and fail to kill my land raider on the left flank not even getting a shot off because of line of sight blocking.

Turn 5:
We decided to call it therewith CSM victory 5 to 1 because of time constraints and that I felt perfectly find camping both my land raiders and berzerkers in spots where it would take forever to kill them, with only a monolith and a squad of 18 flayed ones half a board away from each LR it would be pretty hard to actually move into position to kill both before the game ended.
