To follow on from the opinions on Clash of swords comp pack, thought I'd throw this one in here to see what you guys think. Only just been released so not had a good chance to go through it yet but have thought of one army that comps quite well and is one I have been thinking of running, more so because I have the models more then anything else!.

Background, SCGT is a 200 person event in the UK that most likey will sell out with minutes, the comp pack is usually copied for a number of other events so its usually quite interesting to see it.

Extremely disagree on granting Tournament Points for bringing terrain. Allowing Folding Fortress is another strike and putting it on the same level as the Banner of Discipline is mind-blowing.
Soft Pool mentions Strength in Numbers, but what if you field a general alone (LD 7) and then have him join a unit? Nothing happens? Your army suddenly becomes illegal?
The entire Power / Soft Pool system is just...screwed up. Effectively, a HPA is considered to be as strong as 1+ Rock Lobbaz or 2 Mangler Squigs. I'm just going to let this sink in. There are more...weird decisions similar to this one.
In general, this seems like a very complicated system with a lot of downfalls. Being able to garrison buildings is another highly debatable decision that led to a lot of problems in the past. Card System is another. We use a similar one, but automatically making it impossible to win the event after getting a Yellow Card seems rather unfair to me. A Yellow Card is supposed to be a heads-up for a misbehaving player, a warning, so that he may cease his misbehavior. By robbing any chance of winning the game for him, you just frustrate the player in question, worse, you end up with a player HOPING for the opponents above him to misbehave, thus provoking him to...provoke them and thus make them misbehave and receive a Yellow Card in return.
Overall impression: very complex, quite a few downfalls, disappointing.

I don't get how Archaon is a soft choice in the WoC list and is a hard choice worth 3 in the LoC?
And how both the Daemon Prince and Lord are hard choices.

Folding fotress counts as 3 hard choices (your only allowed 5 in a list) standard of disclipine is worth 1 hard choice. Each hellpit counts as 1 hard choice but 1 or 2 rock lobbers/doom divers count as 1 still, I think it makes you take 2 as you are paying the hard choice if you only take 1 so no disadvantage in taking 2. The generals leadership is a weird one I grant you that, I just tried to make sense of it and failed!. Didnt notice the red/yellow card thing, I would hope they wouldnt use it much.... I have just been looking at the scoring, its not WLD as such its how many TPs you score in each game, cant say I like that but think I will get a game in with it first before deciding too much.

In all honesty? South Coast kind of died for me after last year. What with the soft army of a unit of regen plaguebearers, a unit of beasts, and a unit of drones.
As for the pack itself, it seems like generic arbitrary comp.
Wayne, Dan and Russ play WoC, VC, and Skaven. so those armies get away with murder in retrospect to other armies.
My WoC list is perfectly fine and slips through the comp whilst having two 3++ ward characters, and 4 skullcrushers.
But my double dragon, double manticore dark elf list doesn't.

But my double dragon, double manticore dark elf list doesn't.
My 10.7 swedish comp WoC army comes in at a zero, my 14.7 DoC army comes in at +3. I have done a list, its a list I want to do because I have the models anyway, rather then writing a list and getting more models that comes in at a +7 for triple greater daemon, that could be fun on middle tables but cant see it doing that well.
