The rules state the Overlord (and some other models) may take items from the Melee Weapons, Ranged Weapons, Technoacana and/or Artifacts of the Aeons lists.

No prices are specified so my question is what are the restrictions on this. Can you take however many items from these lists or what

The prices are specified if you look at the 'Necrons Wargear List' (located right before the unit Datasheets) and not the 'Armoury of the Ancients' (located in the back of the codex).
