Hi all,

Browsing the Net I can't find a consensus on this, and we have some differing opinions in our gaming group.

Can the advanced Doctor skills (Doctor Plus, Akbar Doctor) be used through a Ghost:Servant? So if a Ghulam (Doctor Plus) makes tries to heal through a Nasmat, is it on WIP 14 or 17?

My opinion is that they can... and that the definition of "Doctor" in the Ghost:Servant rules should be explicitly extended to include all 3 kinds of Doctors (If it doesn't, could an Akbar or Plus doctor even take a servant remote?! It's not a levelled skill!).

Any thoughts?

Yes it works. It's 17. Only way it wouldnt is if doctor + said it doesent. They act though the ghost servant as if it was them. Just like the servant isn't a doctor or engineer itself but it uses that skill from its owner

The rules for Ghost;Servant are in the Human Sphere (download here, http://www.infinitythegame.com/infinity/downloads/rules/%5Ben%5DRulesHS.pdf , and since no FAQ/Errata exists for them, they stand as written

The quote, "The difference from Ghost: Synchronized is that the Doctor/ Engineer
makes the WIP roll, and it is the Remote who performs it." pretty much clarifies it, I think. The doctor with its Doctor+ or Akbar Doctor makes the roll.

OK, glad you agree. Any counter-argument is technical at best... Like you say, if there was an exception they surely would have made it clear!
