My goal is to try to compete in my local meta. I don't expect to win but I would like to place top 3 in a tourney coming up. My meta is pretty casual although most of us are aware of what an ultra competitive list looks like. The winning list is usually Eldar but I also have 1 Tau player 4 SM players, 1 SW player, 1 nid player, 1 CSM player, and 3 IG players. These are all the models I have so I won't be able to make too many changes but I would appreciate feedback. thanks

Thoughts?

He's been ferried through hell on a ship that's ten thousand years old to some godforsaken, war-torn rock; He is one of ten million men snatched from his home to fight a war he barely understands; He wages war against devouring hiveminds, ravenous demons and hordes of hyper-advanced aliens with strange technologies and sorceries he never dreamed existed; no one will remember his sacrifice, there will be no records of his deeds, no glorious parades in his honor, and no remembrance of his name. All he will earn is a shallow, unmarked grave on a forgotten world untold lightyears from home.

Yet for all this thankless sacrifice a Guardsman is a man, just like you. He has no millennia-old genetic engineering, no prophetic leader, no miracles of faith. He has his lasgun, his orders, and those beside him. He is the Imperial Guard.

And he will hold the line.

It's decent, your going to have a low model count army so be aware of that. The dread is a waste honestly I'd drop him and take a dark shroud to follow around your Ravenwing. 2+ cover when they jink is a really nice addition to a Black Knight Squad. I wouldn't take a MM on a Tactical Squad in a Drop Pod. Chances are it would always be snap firing. Just take a Combi-Melta instead of it for that squad also.

The interogator chaplain with the knights is a decent unit, but remember it's going to be focused hard. So either pray to roll invisibility on your librarian or get rid of their heavy weapons fast.

i've had good luck with dopping dreads if you have two or three of them and lots of other rhinos and razorbacks to overwhelm their anti-tank.

It's true that your chaplain and knights would be an unstoppable melee unit, but everyone has an entire turn after they deep strike to get out of their 13 inch reliable threat range. Deathwing Knights work much better with a Land Raider.

And yeah drop the MM for another combi-melta. So you may as well drop just five marines in that squad.
