I'm trying to make an army centered around heavy warjacks and journeyman warcasters. I grew very tired of the current WM meta, which has gone back to Infantrymachine save for a few select warcasters. So, I'm going to try and use this theme force to get back into the game.
Please don't recommend charger spam, not interested. I will consider some utility lights, such as the Minuteman if someone recommends it.

The list looks like tons of fun, but I would honestly think about changing the 'jack in Allison's battle group. She has a great spell for repositioning her jacks, but not enough to make it worth running a melee heavy jack which will want the full compliment of focus to truly shine. Plus her control area isn't huge, forcing her to be closer to the front than she would would probably like to be until later game. I would honestly think about a Hunter or other similar points light 'jack with decent ranged capabilities... Minus the Minuteman. I can't remember the name of her other spell, but it prevents placing effects, taking away all of the fun of running that 'jack with her. Automatically Appended Next Post: I would also consider the Charger, have Jakes cast energizer with two focus to reposition for a better shot, or just get a little closer while keeping the aiming bonus, feed it two focus and blast away.

Yeah, thanks!
A charger or other combat light would be a good option for Jakes, since she'll want that focus for herself later. The mobility would let me use her as a finisher, flanker, to hunt stuff down in general, which seems like what she's made for. Same goes for a hunter.
I was considering a Centurion, but that's too many points for a squishy model like her.
I'll switch things around, maybe switch the Black 13 for a full unit of ATGM to pick off more infantry now that I'll have more points.

Okay, some modifications.
I decided against a hunter because its ability is wasted on feat turn. Jakes gets a charger, which works better with her spells, and 2 shots from the cannon works better against the heavy infantry swarms. Switched to gun mages, mainly because they're a reliable infantry killer and I have to deal with infantry swarms all the time.

I slightly disagree on the Hunter. His ability is not wasted on the feat turn, it actually allows you to use two armor piercing shots on one target. Remember each target is only Armor Pierced the first time it is damaged. If you have Triumph do some significant damage to a jack on feat turn and then follow it up with the Hunter's Armor Piercing shot, you might just have an enemy wreck.
You might consider switching the Cyclone to the Gun Mage officer too. That is a ton of rune shots to put out.

You make a good point about the hunter, and him having Parry works well with Energizer. If he gets engaged, energizer him out of combat, charge with Jakes and kill what engaged it, and end up back or in b2b for Sidekick. Then the hunter can take an aimed shot from its current position. Also with sidekick its Def goes to 16.
One of the reasons why I didn't put the cyclone on the GMO is that it wastes the -1 warjack costs benefit that this list gets. They have to be in a battlegroup to get the discount.
Okay, here's a crazier list. More lights, even though I was hoping to have more heavies. But looking at the actual bonuses, it's way more efficient to run lots of lights. I had to drop the cyclone. So here's to hoping I have enough shots and AoEs to blast apart the infantry spam lists that dominate the game in my area.
I think I'll have to wait for Mk3 to have my dream lists of more general Heavy Jack use.

Finally got to try this, and made some adjustments.
First, I went against a colossal, and quickly found that I need an actual melee beatstick to deal with heavy things while also contesting steamroller objectives. The Centurion with Jakes works great for this since she can energizer it up for 3", then it moves for 4" and polarity shields to prevent itself from being charged. Sidekick works on the charger even if Jakes isn't in b2b with it, so she can hang back 8" away, charging in as needed and sprinting away.
I didn't make use of the trench templates, but I will next time I play. Since using that, you'd have a Def 17 centurion with a def 21 Jakes in a trench.
I ended up switching the journeymen to chargers and hunters, and added a journeyman. The point efficiency is just too much in favor of that, and they conveniently fit in a trench. Sadly, some of the efficiency is lost by casting arcane shield, leaving only 2 points. I may switch one of the journeymen from a charger to a sentinel. This would allow him to keep arcane shield up at all times, and give back some infantry killing ability lost from dropping the cyclone. It would also add back in some security with shield guard.
The ATGM with Officer are staying in. Even though Siege has Mage Sight, being able to pick and choose stuff not covered by it, and saving his focus for other things is better for focus management. Siege himself will be busy using his abilities to clear infantry as he usually does.
Meanwhile, the search continues for a way to run nothing but heavies while still having good focus efficiency.
