Hi All

Farting out yet another Ork list, really appreciate the feedback I'm getting so far, just trying to find a functional list which I like. This is probably one of my favorite so hoping experienced warbosses can find merit in it!

HQ
Big Mek - Da Fixer Uppers
Mek - Rokkit Launcher

Elite
Burna Boys x 5 - Upgraded to Meks x 3
Tankbustas x 10 - Nob Boss w/ Pole and Claw, Trukk

Troops
Grots x10
Grots x 10

Heavy Support
Flash Gitz x 10 - Battle Wagon w/ Extra Armour, Grot Riggers, Killkannon, Big Shootas x 2
Flash Gitz x 10 - Battle Wagon w/ Extra Armour, Grot Riggers, Killkannon, Big Shootas x 2
Morkanaut - Extra Armour, Grot Riggers, KFF

So the Big Mek and Burnas will hand out in the Morkanaut making it a difficult nut to crack while it provides 5++ goodness to the Flash Git Wagons (and the Gitz themselves, should they fall out and not have cover). Tankbustas will hunt their own target, whatever is appropriate. I put the Mek with them just cause I had left over points! Grots are just cheap picks that can hold objectives or be body covers for any Gitz without a box. Gitz and their boxes will be throwing a bucket of dakka at anything that doesn't have AV!

All C&C appreciated as usual!

First thing I noticed is

"Burna Boyz x 5 - Meks x 3"

You can't attach those Meks to the Burna boyz, you can only have 1. Per the Mekaniac rule you can get 1 extra mek because of your Big Mek HQ choice but he has to be attached to infantry or artillery so you would get 2 but not 3. Also you said you wanted to put them in the Morkanaut. Just remember the morkananut is not an assault vehicle, has no firing points and is slow. It probably won't keep up with your battle wagonz.

Your wasting points with your tankbustas because they don't have a trukk to move them around. Lastly, I dont know how you feel about this but you could switch one unit of Flash Gitz to Lootas and have a few S7 shots to throw around as well. that would save you a ton of points to get more troops on the board and get that Trukk upgrade for your Tank bustas

Also, good idea with the Big Mek in the Morkanaut, It has been my experience that Morky is a bullet magnet. Every game I play with him he draws an inordinate amount f firepower.

Sorry, I made a couple mistakes with my OP and made it unclear.

1) The tankbustas are in a trukk, forgot to put it there.
2) With the flamers, there are 5 guys but 3 are upgraded to Meks. They are not joined by the meks that are semi-HQs. So them along with the big mek is giving me 5 repair roles a turn on the Morkanaut (+1 for the riggers).

I did consider Lootas at one point but I am not sure. I know people rave about them but I haven't had much luck with them in the past. I had a blob of them in cover once and my very kind space marine buddy destroyed the lot of them with ignoring cover thunderfire cannon rounds in one turn. I don't trust a trukk to keep them safe for long and don't have a slot left for a Wagon (unless i go unbound ofc.).

Is Forge World Stuff ok in your area?

If you wanted Lootas in a Wagon, I'd recommend Warboss Skalk Blutoof from IA:8.

He allows one mob of Lootas as Troops. That would allow for Lootas in a wagon with this set up. But I'd also recommend a Mega Armour character in there to allow the wagon to move 6" without the Lootas having to Snap Shoot.

IA stuff is generally frowned upon in my gaming group.

I can get away with using guff from Dread Mob as it's own semi codex but taking guff out of IA would not be appreciated.

Reread the codex entry on Burnas, his selection of three Meks is legal.

I am the kinda ork that takes his own washing machine apart, puts new bearings in it, then puts it back together, and it still works.

The klaw on your tankbustas is not a plan. Save the points, and take advantage of our only way to swing with meltabombs. Sure, it might make the nob better vs troops, but they're supposed to be chasing vehicles and MCs

Hi Guys, thanks for the feedback. I have made quite a few alterations to my list. First one is I have switched to the Ork Horde detachment in order to grab an extra HQ and keep the army bound. The rest ill explain after the list.

HQ
Big Mek - KFF
Big Mek - Da Fixer Upperz
Painboy
Mek

Elite
Meganobz x 3 - Trukk w/ Boarding plank
Tankbustas x 10 - Nob Leader w/ Pole, Trukk w/ Boarding plank & Red Paint job

Troops
Grots x 10 w/ Runtherd
Grots x 10 w/ Runtherd
Grots x 10 w/ Runtherd

Heavy Support
Flash Gitz x 10 - Battlewagon w/ Extra Armour, Grot Riggers, Killkannon, Rokkit Launcha x 2
Lootas x 10
Morkanaut - Extra Armour, Grot Riggers, KFF

I dropped out one unit of flash gitz ( ) and the burnaz to make room for lootas and meganobz. Lootas were already suggested earlier and I think they can fulfill a similar role to the Gitz but also help poke at harder targets if needed. I will park them in cover but they also have a KFF Big Mek in case some meanie drops ignore cover on them.

I put in a unit of Meganobz to add another high threat target as it was suggested I have too few. It will force people to pick between them, the tankbustas, the morkanaut or the flash gitz, all are deadly once they get in range (while the lootas provide covering fire). The Nobz also provide a bit of hard CC to a list that previously didn't have it. Painboy is joining them to help keep them around a bit longer.

The Morkanut is slightly more fragile as it has less repair roles without the burnas but only slightly. The remaining big mek and regular mek will set up shop inside it to keep it going.

3 units of grots for cheap troops and to fulfill the minimum requirements of the FoC. They remain unchanged in that they will objective steal or provide emergency body cover for shooty guys without a box.

Liking the look of this list even without the 2 units of Flashgitz which I loved to start with. Thoughts?

I feel to many people under estimate the effectiveness of regular boyz foot slogging. They are incredibly slow and easily killed, BUT, with a 30 model count you can lose a significant number and still be combat effective. In many games I have seen one of two trains of thought on my boyz squads. 1: Ignore them: they aren't as important as the morkanaut or Trukk with nobz in it. or 2: Focus fire them because god help me that is a big mass of models that I need to kill. Either way I win because they distract or benefit from a distraction. Its fun to watch a player who ignores my Boyz remember at the last second that my Boyz get to move, run and assault in one turn :-P

I don't like running boyz. I don't like running horde lists so footslogging blobs is out and I think the small number of boys you can fit in a trukk is largely pointless.

Probably a daft mentality to have if your playing Orks but they just have so many fun toyz!

Im not saying their are other ways to play orkz im just saying that people under estimate the 30 man squads, i never play the big green blob because then you tend to get mowed down but when you have a couple of higher priority things like nobs and morkanauts people tend to forget about how dangerous ork boyz can be

Well, math wise we lose to 20 flayed ones now. And it's a horrendous loss... So... Not as efficient anymore.
