I feel like this has been covered before, but I can't find anything searching the forums.

The basic question is: if a model has preferred enemy and is firing a blast weapon that Gets Hot! (plasma cannon), can the model re-roll the "1" rolled for Gets Hot!? I believe that the answer is yes, but just reading the letter of the rules seems to leave debate. I don't want to cheat opponents, but I don't really want to short myself either. Can someone help/direct me?

Yes, PE allows rerolls for scatter exactly as much as Prescience allows rerolls for scatter.
