Subject: Clash of clans.... I have seen the future and it's awful!
Having heard a few people talk about this game I downloaded it around a week ago to see what it was all about. I deleted the app an hour ago. It was awful beyond words. Horrendous waiting times on build projects killed the game completely. I will never complain about 40k again.... Well until next week at least! I just didn't get it it's boring beyond words and utterly pointless.i desperately hope this is not the future of war games. What's the ranks communities thoughts on these type of immersive, pay your way, games?

I wouldn't worry. Such games aren't the future in the same way that all people don't play slot machines. There will be types that play, and some types will indeed pump money.
But the market for these games has actually hit a nasty saturation point.
I'm still expecting a bubble to burst sometime in the near future for the video game industry. At one end, you have the septic depths of the mobile market, with its hordes of 'free-to-play,' creatively bankrupt clones. At the other, you have a crowded market for increasingly expensive-to-make, 'AAA' games that either promise the world and fail to deliver, or are decent but don't sell enough to justify the insane amount of money that was pumped into making the game.
And don't even get me started on the steaming pile of bullcrap that is Early Access.

Played this travesty for 2 levels, then got tired of it and left the community. Definately a P2W game, with no real elements to it. Just the devs trying to make as much money as possible.
