Hi all, quick question
Let's say I have a Chaos Sorcerer with an activated Force Sword (giving Instant Death special rule) and I'm surrounded in Assault with let's say, 3 tau crisis suits with one closer than the 2 others. Let's say i do 3 wounds with the force sword and they have no saves. Must I apply 2 wounds to the closest crisis suit like wounds would normally be allocated or can I apply 1 wound to each suit due to the Instant Death rule (since 1 wound would kill each of them).

No, wounds are applied one at a time.

So Ok if I apply one wound at a time, it should only take 1 wound to kill a multi wound model. It doesn't seem to make sense in applying another wound to a model that already is at 0 wounds after 1 wound has been applied. Correct?

The rules tell you what to do when the closest model is reduced to 0 wounds and removed as a casualty. There is nothing in your scenario that would change that.

If you do 3 wounds with a activated Force weapon vs 3 Tau crisis suits, then all 3 suits die.

You allocate wounds 1 at a time to each model in B2B contact with your model. Once you've done so, then you start overlapping wounds

This is incorrect.
"...once a model has a Wound allocated to it during an Initiative step, you must continue to allocate Wounds to it until it is either removed as a casualty or the Wound pool is empty."

No, that's a mash up of 5th and 7th edition rules, and is not at all correct. As was already posted the correct rules are to allocate rules one at a time.
