Here are the new lists I came up with after considering all the advice I got from my previous one. I'm up to changing anything; the only thing I don't have is a wraithknight. Let me know what you guys think!

Does anybody have some ideas on this list?? I'd like for it to be pretty competitive.

I like the idea of fast shot but why not an avatar. He gets BS10 (basicay twin linking everything)

I also like the warp spiders but you need bigger squads: if you are not moving them in all three phases (movement, shooting, assault) then you are doing it wrong.

2 warwalkers are good but try to get them star engines. A squad of 2 walkers with star engines is OP so long as they can get behind line of sight cover

I would say this list is not really competitve but it will be competitve enough to have fun and give people games. It is too reliant maybe on luck (all those psykers) my gut would be to drop nearly all the psykers get some wraithknight and feed him the spirit stone heals

Just to be clear. You take bigger squads to allow you to lose some to the warp in movement and still be able to complete tasks

I agree with most of this except the star engines. Do not take star engines on the warwalkers

There's not really a reason for war walkers to have star engines. They are too expensive of an upgrade, plus war walkers already have fleet.

Small squads of warp spiders are just as effective as large squads, if not more so. They are easier to hide and are still extremely good at taking out light armour and infantry. I may make them 2 squads of 7 though.

Unfortunately I don't have a wraithknight, I really need to get one though

**** Could this list take out flyrants, night scythes, or daemon princes?

I'm thinking that taking the dark reapers instead of the 5 warp spiders would be better because they would ignore jink

Dark reaper exarch can man the icarus whilst being vastly cheaper, ignoring night fight, ignoring jink, whilst retaining fast shot. Still at bs5 as well

Aftermath can be calculated.

Yeah along with above, I dont see Fuegan as being a great investment of points here. Switch him out for a Wraithknight (get one!), and the 5 spiders for reapers.

Can you tell me a bit more about what the 4 Spiritseers get up to?

I'm not sure where you are playing, but Iyanden itself is not a separate faction. It's still Eldar, just mix and match, so you sadly can't ally with it. You can do double CAD with Eldar + Eldar (Iyanden).

Other than that, the wraiths need a delivery method. 10 guard are cool, but unless you're fishing for gate of infinity, you'll need a faster way to move them up the board. 18" zone of denial is nice, but against MSU or FMCs, it's easy enough to stay away from them.

The 4 spiritseers give a lot of warp charges and access to runes of battle and telepathy powers. They give me potentially 8 rolls on telepathy which should result in invisibility. I usually split them evenly 2 on runes of battle and 2 telepathy. The spiritseers can also greatly increase the threat range of the wraithguard with the voice of twilight psychic power that gives them battlefocus.

Fuegan isn't there JUST to man the icarus lascannon. He can also tank wounds, is very effective in combat should I get tied up, and has split fire for tank hunting.

Even if I get a wraithknight I would still need to find 20 points somewhere to put him in. (my gaming group is o.k. with proxying to try out new models) Any suggestions on what to take out to put in the wraithknight?

Also, I'm fairly positive that I can ally with Iyanden; anyone for sure on that??

Then trash it and write another one.

You're trying to build a star that costs more than a Screamerstar, almost as much as a CenturionStar, and you're nowhere close in terms of efficiency.

Your list is so bad that it would lose to 120 Termagants, or even just 600 points worth of boyz in trukkz or hell, anything optimized around 900 points.

You cannot ally with Iyanden, Iyanden is faction:Eldar, the only special case is Farsight Enclaves which is not faction:Tau.

A WraithKnight wouldn't do much for your list, it could be a good target for a secondary invisibility, but your list has way too many weaknesses for a WK to change much.

Actually, your footWraith presence pretty much makes the WK less interesting than backfield damage dealers.

I posted 3 new lists; none of which have a deathstar. I tried to focus more on S6 shooting combined with wraithcannons and d-scythes.

More competitive than the list your suggesting. If you think psykers are bad/to random, you dont know anything about competitive play.

@Helvost, list 2 is my favorite, but id recommend dropping some walkers to upgrade the farseer into a mantle seer. Much safer, and more maneuverable.

If I use the Spirit mark power from the Spiritseer on a unit and then hit them with the D-scythes will I re-roll 1's to wound because of the Spirit mark??

can I just interject and say that if you put star engines on a war walker you make one of the most disgustingly OP units in the whole game. Assuming there is a building and a flank to cover you.

You place them out of line of sight

You move them out 4 inches

You shoot

You move them back 4 inches without even rolling

You can never die unless your whole army collapses

Basically these MUST be in units of 2 (due to base size, a 3rd will not be able to join in without dying) I think it needs to be a priority for all the "nay sayers" here to really use this unit in groups of 2 before they rip it to pieces.

Also the loadout.

The best $points$ optimised build for war walkers in just add one scatter laser. IT means you have 7 shots at str 6 but 3 are twin linked and can rend. This makes them actually bettter than 2 scatter lasers. It is also cheaper.

I actually have no problem with the guy using star cannon so long as that's all he puts on them 8 star cannon shots (6 hits) a turn is actually useful and will hurt 3+ armour- you will kill 5 marines on average a go so long as they are in the open (they never are of course, but you have to admit there is a purpose to such a mass of fire power)

seriously......? you are comparing an avatar at 205 points (compared directly with fast shot to fuegan at 220 when his idea to sit at the back with the Icarus AA gun -- the very idea that he had posted but then edited out) and telling me the avatar is too expensive.. riiiiiiiiiiiite

also psykers are DEFINITELY random and ruin your chance to be cohesive with your build (essential for an Eldar list i.e. you can bank on things like guide and conceal all you want but you cannot do anything else but have a "nice if" mentality to the rest you cannot go into a game with any hope of forming strategy in advance with a load of psychic rules that could be completely the wrong ones. I am not saying you cannot use psykers but for Eldar they are exponentially bad because they prohibit synergy. I have taken a spirit seer to every tournament game I have had and I have always ignored (rolled for the lols) the actual powers other than the witchfire and conceal primaris. I rolled +1 str once in one game and it totally altered how I used the wraihguard he was with but other than that it is a "assume fail maybe you'll get lucky" type deal
