Had this situation come up in a game recently:
If I use a psychic power to grant Endurance (4+ FNP and Eternal Warrior), can a unit affected by the power take a FNP save against a weapon that would cause Instant Death via doubling Toughness?
Say, a T4 unit hit by a S8 weapon. Whilst FNP would work, Instant Death would negate this. However, Eternal Warrior is also in effect. What do?

You're not reduced to 0 wounds because of Instant Death, but if the wound has the Instant Death special rule, it specifically negates FNP.

While Eternal Warrior means that the model only has it Wounds reduced by 1 instead of automatically reducing its Wounds to 0, it doesn't remove the Instant Death rule altogether. Therefore the unsaved Wound would still have the Instant Death rule and the model could not use its Feel No Pain roll to avoid the wound.

The above comments are correct, or to put it even simpler: Eternal Warrior only ignores the effect of Instant Death, it doesn't stop the attack from having it.

Understood, so, would I be right in saying that a T4 3W model with FNP and EW would NOT be instakilled by a S8 weapon, but wouldn't receive an FNP roll?
