Gents,

I was re-reading the flier rules tonight and dont see the limitation that they can't come on in hover mode. Quite the opposite actually. Can you guys refresh my memory with a BRB page number that saus they cant (which is how ive always played it).

Thanks

It's in the Hover rule itself, second paragraph about half way in.

Thanks. Must they exit while zooming?

Yes - there is no permission for Fast Skimmers to leave the battlefield.

Note that according to the Flyer rules, Flyers that are in ongoing reserves as a result of Leaving Combat Airspace must arrive back in Zoom mode, even if they can Hover.

Ok so to summarize:

(A) A flier entering for the first time from reserves can do so in hover or zoom. [BRB p:85 under "Hover"]

(B) A flier exiting the battlefield MUST do so in Zoom. [BRB p:18 under "Movement Distance" & BRB p: 85 under "Leaving Combat Airspace]

(C) A flier coming in from ONGOING reserves must enter in Zoom. [BRB p:85 under "Leaving Combat Airspace]

Thanks folks. Working through that clarified alot.

Remember for A that the entire vehicle needs to be on the field - a tail or wing hanging off the board is bad.
