Heya all, new guy, got into the game last year, well when I say got into I mean bought the dark vengeance pack and some rulebooks and set out to work painting everything, didn't get to even play my first game yet before the great upheaval that caused me to lose touch for half a year or so, now I'm back into it, finishing up my Dark Angels and I find there is a new core rulebook that will set me back $120 or so. By the time I buy that, I will be about $400 in the hole and ready to play my first game (With the previous rulebook presumably serving as kindling). Oh well I guess there's not much I can do.

Any general Dark Angels tips for a first timer? I've got every from DV, as well as a tactical marine squad, a DA veteran squad and a typhoon.

Check around on eBay for the small-version of the main rules; should be about a quarter of the cost of the 3-book set.
