So I am building an Only War campaign centered around hunting down Ambulls in the corridors of a space ship. For those wondering an Ambull is:

I have most of the models and the board is under construction but the issue still remains on how to do the Ambull itself, though the model is still floating around on ebay I am wondering what the best way to build/convert an Ambull could be.

I am going more for this look than the original:

Ambulls! Nice!

If you're going for an even more insectoid look than the original model, I think you could see what models there are of the D&D umber hulk.

Any size comparisons to guardsmen?

Reminds me of the Mantic Deadzone Plague boss. He's on a 40 mm base, though, so not too massive.

Pretty nice! A touch pricey if you want a few, but I suppose you're paying for quality and size - from the looks of things it's about 55mm tall. And for some reason it's not too much more than the pre-painted plastic minis!
