Hi guys so my local shop is doing Kill team again...but with a twist. Normally it would be 200-250 points and that's it, but our friendly GW store owner has added some modification to it.
So you start at 200 points with any of the following combination, 0-2 Troop choices, 0-1 Fast attack, 0-1 Elites. Then as you win you gain more points, up to 50 points for win, so eventually you will be at 600 points for the next campaign.

So I chose Dark elder for this and its been successful up to now, 4 wins 0 losses, using the following.

3 Incubi - Elite Choice
Dedicated Transport: Venom /w X2 Venom Cannons.

5 Kabalite warriors, X1 Blaster.
(I wont go into info on specialist etc)

So my first game I won (50p) I added 5 more Kabalaite warriors and a Heavy weapon Dark lance (As I now have 10 Warriors I could take a heavy weapon choice).
Second game I won another (50p) I added a raider /w Disintegrator cannon.

Last two games I won I banked the points having 95p to play.
So upto now my list looks like the following:

X10 Kabalite warriors, 1 Blaster, 1 Dark lance in a raider with Disintegrator cannon.
X3 Incubi in a Venom with X2 Splinter cannons.

I have a Fast attack or a Troop choice slot remaining with 95p to play (I can get more points from more victories)
So my question is what do you think so far? And 95p to play with what would you advise using for 95p? Im keeping it flexible to deal with everything possible.
Thanks in Advance

I'd stop playing altogether.
The system seems flawed if I understand correctly in that the people winning get more points to spend the more they win?
You'll soon get the winners way out in front, it's a real, " and the rich get richer" situation.

Everyone: No.

Not entirely, as you can offer the opponent a temporary points boost to match yours, and because it takes place on a Friday night most players are equal on points anyway

Basically the fluff is that you are taking over planets, and if you land on a planet someone else has you have to fight them for the planet resulting in points/stats gain.

Also the points maximum is 600, so eventually everyone will be up to that, if not you offer them an equal point game, its hard to explain everything over the computer but it works out pretty even, also a lot of fun to be travelling the galaxy and sucking the life form out of planets

For 95 points I'd suggest running some Reaver Jet Bikes. I believe you can get something close to 5 + Cluster Caltrops/Special Weaponry for those points. They are insanely fast, surprisingly killy in close combat due to D3 Str 4 rending HOW and quite durable due to 3+ cover save.

Plus when you get to 600, a unit of 6 with 2 Cluster Caltrops and a Champion is an ace, versatile unit that needs to be dealt with.

Heard good things about the Bikes, think I'll look into them more, thanks for the response Alex , What's your opinion on Scourges?

Best anti-vehicle we have. 5 Scourges with 4 Haywire Blasters will reliably strip 3 hull points from most things in the game for a very cheap price. The problem is in kill team you won't find many Land Raiders, and low AV is dealt with by Blasters well enough. You could give them heat lances, 4 heat lances for 120pts isn't bad and they can also melt terminators.

Naked they leave a bit to be desired, they shoot well only a little better then a Venom for almost 1/2 the price. If you expect a lot of Dreadnoughts or Predators, these guys are better then Reavers. Against most other things you'll get more pressure out of Reavers.

In actual fact the bikes are better than mentioned above.
Caltrops give d6 S6 rending and the normal bikes are a single S4 rending HOW hits.
They are def the way to go, massively fast, and just jink around. If it's night fighting they get a 2+ jink save

Dancing around space with pointy ears and cardboard aeroplanes!!!

"I think the next stage for him is to remortgage and bring a captial Ship...
.....Brings it on a roof rack, leans out the window, rolls a 2+.Wins. Goes Home.
Its the future we're all facing"
