Definitely a novel monster [rimshot] - I've seen plenty of treasure chest mimics, but never a bookcase. I assume it's double-sided, so you can simply flip the whole piece to go from the plain face to the monster's? If so, it'd be a handy little piece to add to 3D dungeons. Nice work!

Nice work! It's nice to see a variation on an old classic.

That's nicely done.

The monstrous side looks fantastic.

That's a great idea, however, I think it's also a bit of a missed opportunity.

Perhaps on another version, you can keep and use the book motif and do things like use book spines as teeth, have the mouth split and open at the line of the shelf, and other things.

Right now it's like a hole just opened up in the shelf and a monster face came out, which works as intended, but it'd be interesting to integrate more of the original shelf look into the final monster.

That is very, very, cool! Your mimic is an absolute monster, it looks scary as feck and deadly. The second rows of teeth are a nice touch to make it look even deadlier. I like it a damn lot.

Very nice work, and a very good concept put into miniature! Will you post pic's up when you paint it?
