So I'm thinking of building another 40k army, Necrons this time, but there's a slight problem. I don't have tons of money to throw at building an army like I did when I put together my Ork army. Plus if my experience with my Orks is any indication they'll end up collecting dust for 6-8 months at a time because no one around here plays, so really I'm building the army more because I like Necrons than to actually play it.
Anyway I've been accused of being long winded, so to get to the point I'm looking for alternative Necron models. I'm thinking of getting some skeleton minis from some company less expensive than GW and stuffing their chests with green stuff for warriors and kitbashing some gauss rifles and I have plans for a scratch built monolith or two, but beyond that I'm at a loss. Anyone have any suggestions?
Those terminator models look about perfect, actually. I'll hold out and see how much they end up costing before I do anything else. Maybe I'll get started on the scratch built parts of this army while I'm waiting. Thanks!
Ok....Sprue Crons for the win as far as cost. I can't imagine any other way of building a Necron army easier on my budget than THAT. I think it technically fulfills the requirement of "GW parts" for scratch-built/kit bashed models to.
