For my footslogging horde Ork list I need to have a Warboss to allow me to Waaagh. I am debating between several builds.

Grukk Face-Rippa- He has all the stuff I want, but simply lacks Da Lucky Stikk, and has some sub-par upgrades. A big reason to take him is because his fixed Warlord trait is so good.

Warboss with 'eavy armor, Shoota, DLS, Cybork Body, PK, and BP- he's pretty survivable for a 4+ armor save. and has lots of rerolls with Da Lucky Stikk. He is also fast enough to keep up with da boyz. While the Cybork Body is usually sub-par, in this case where he has lower armor that is more likely to be penned, combined with DLS, it is good. It is basically a rerollable 6+ save, that works unless they have S10 weaponry or instant death. I'm still not sure if 5 points will be worth it, as his squad will be accompanied by a Painboy. I'm pretty sure it will be worthwhile though.

Warboss with 'eavy armor, Shoota, DFK, PK, and BP- he's basically the same as above except he has Da Finkin Kap. With 2 tries on the Strategic table with re-rolls, I have a good chance of getting the trait that gives me infiltrate for my 3 Boyz squads. Even if I don't, I can get night fighting, better chance to steal, or many other nice bonuses. I just can't decide if he's better or worse than the DLS Warboss listed above.

Mega Armor is not going to work here, because I have no vehicles in the list, so I want ideas that work for a footslogger Warboss. Thanks for any advice or critiques!

For the guy who leaves it all on the field (because he doesn't pick up after the game).
Keep on rolling

Depends on your preferences. I often run a footslogging boss with 'eavy armor, Klaw, Shoota, DLS and a Bosspole. Or even without a BP sometimes. No need for kybork when he's in a squad with a painboss. Can be handy when without.

DFK is great but i find DLS helping out more often due to our local meta. We've got CSM guyz with hard-hitting mellee stuff, seer-council eldar, IK, IG with Wiverns...While DFK is cheaper and can be really great but it's random nonetheless and comes in handy less often.

I mostly use Boss with DLS on foot or on bike and I think foot Boss with DLS is better then Gruck because combi-rocket is nearly useless with BS2 and DLS as a result gives almost the same as the Git-rippa.
But in any case, its so fun to surprise your opponent with infiltrating boyz! So DLS and DFK are both nice, choose it depending your local metagame.

As for new cybork, it IMO useless for 5 points... especially if you will run Boss with Painboy.

DLS is great on a Warboss in Mega Armour - otherwise it's kind of lacking the full potential. Da Finking Cap is better on a Big Mek, as he does't go into CC and can survive long enough. Also note that you can't reroll FNP, beacause it's not a saving throw.
I'd say take Grukk - he is only 6 points more, gets one To-Hit reroll, rerolls To-Wound thanks to Shred and has REAL FNP. Also his Warlord Trait is realy great for orks - an note that if you put him inside a transport the 12" range is measured from it's hull.

I thoroughly enjoy grukk, in a big enough game I run his detatchment and DS everything in and it can really throw an enemy off.

But In a regular boy horde warboss with DLS is a pretty solid go to option. Giving the boys the +1 to WS makes them even more fierce. And he can then pretty much be assured to get off most of his Pclaw attacks.

Down with Allies, Solo 2016!
