Hi all,

So I was just making an army list via battlescribe on my phone on the way to work. I thought I might design a list using the Ork Warband formation.

The formation requires me to take one unit of Gretchin. Is there any place for them in a mechanised list (my usual playstyle)?

Do you run a stompa or morks or gorks? Surround them with gretchin to prevent assaults. One of my local players runs a stompa surrounded by gretchin and the same if he runs morks or gorks.

Tying up wraiths for a turn or two? Gretching are a good, low cost tarpit. Think of them as even more suicidal boyz.

Why not. Just run around the field and cap objectives. Or bauble wrap your vehicles. They're cheap enough to be left behind if needed.

If there are objectives they need to be held. Grots can do just that - hold objectives on your side of the table.
